Along with the Gionee M5 Plus, the Chinese company also announced the Gionee M5 Enjoy a seemingly smaller variant of the aforementioned device. It will go on sale in Golden colour option only for a price tag of CNY 1999 (US$ 308) starting December 25 in China.
The Gionee M5 Enjoy relies on an ample-sized 5000mAh battery for energy and packs a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button with a recognition of 0.5 second. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with 2.5D Arc display, a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 267ppi.
Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for adding external storage up to 128GB.
Measuring 155 x 76 x 9mm in dimensions and weighs 200 grams; the Gionee M5 Enjoy has a full metal body build, Dual SIM slots and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Amigo OS 3.1 ontop. Connectivity options onboard includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG and 4G LTE/3G.
Photography is handled by a front facing 5MP camera and a rear facing 8MP camera with AutoFocus, LED flash and 1080p FHD video recording support.
