Gionee is reportedly preparing a new smartphone – the Gionee M6 (model number – Gionee GN8003), which has undergone certification in China by TENAA. The phablet device should be announced on July 26. The company could also announce the Gionee M6 Plus – a bigger screen model of the M6 but information on this other device is limited.
According to the listing which also has the images, the Gionee M6 Specs starts off with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution, a sizeable 5000mAh capacity battery, a full aluminium metal body build and the company’s new logo sits alongside the fingerprint sensor.
The phone relies on an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz (the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 comes to mind) along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space which doesn’t seem to be expandable but the presence of Hybrid Dual SIM slots could change this deficiency.
The rest of the Gionee M6 specs includes – Dual SIM slots, 4G LTE connectivity, Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, front facing 8MP camera for selfies and rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash. It measures 152.3 x 75.3 x 8.4 mm in dimensions and tips the scale at 185 grams.
PS: For those who don’t know the M series by Gionee used to be called the Marathon series. So the Gionee M6 would have been the Gionee Marathon M6.
