Gionee has started teasing a new smartphone – the Marathon M5 Plus which is expected to go official on December 21st in China. The phablet sized device is successor to the Gionee Marathon M5 which launched about six months ago.
There is no concrete information on the specification details of the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus (or Gionee M5 Plus) but it is technically expected to come with some improvements (major or minor) over the Gionee Marathon M5 (or Gionee M5) but it isn’t exactly clear what will change about it.
Going into a bit of prediction mood, it would surely be equipped with the same Dual batteries setup with fast charging and sport a display with a screen size between 5.5 to 6-inch. To preserve battery life a HD resolution screen is expected but a FHD one shouldn’t be ruled out entirely; the RAM and Internal storage could be increased also.
The Gionee Marathon M5 which recently made its way outside China sports a 5.5-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB or 3GB RAM, Dual SIM slots and 4G LTE support. It is backed by two 3010mAh batteries which charges simultaneously and also serves as a power bank.
