Gionee P7 Max Debuts with 5.5″ Display, Octa-Core CPU and 3GB RAM

Following the launch of the Gionee S6 Pro at an event in Nepal, Gionee announced a new phablet device – the Gionee P7 Max in the landlocked South Asian nation. The metal-clad device sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display and backed by a 3100mAh battery.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Amigo UI 3.2, the Gionee P7 Max is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6595 processor clocked at 2.2GHz paired along with PowerVR G6200 Graphics GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).

For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash, alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. It packs Dual SIM slots and despite the max moniker, the device is without a fingerprint. Connectivity options include – 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/AGPS and micro USB 2.0.

The Gionee P7 Max is currently available in Nepal for ‎a price tag of NPR 21,999 (approximately $205) and will arrive in Gold and Grey colour options. There is currently no word on availability in other markets.

The Gionee S6 Pro, on its own, is priced higher at NRP 34,999 (approx. $329).
