Gionee has announced a refreshed version of the Pioneer P5L smartphone in India. Dubbed the Gionee Pioneer P5L 2016 or Pioneer P5L (2016) if you may like, the LTE enabled device is available from the company’s online store for a price tag of Rs. 8499 in Black, Blue, Gold, Red, White and Yellow colours.
Measuring 143.5 x 72 x 8.2 mm in dimensions and weighing in at 147 grams, the Gionee Pioneer P5L sports a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and is backed by a 2300mAh battery, expected to provide up to 9 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time on 3G.
On the inside, the Dual-SIM enabled device relies on a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Amigo 3.1 UI ontop. For additional space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
In the camera segment, the Gionee Pioneer P5L 2016 is equipped with a rear 8-megapixel camera with LED flash as well as a front facing 5-megapixel camera. It supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE with VoLTE as well as GPS,Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB connectivity options.
