Gionee has its smartphone Lineup in India with the two LTE enabled smartphones, the Gionee Pioneer P5L and Gionee CTRL V6L. Both devices run on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, supports Dual SIM connectivity and are available for Rs 10,000 ($162) and Rs 15,000 ($243) respectively. The company also announced the Gionee P6 (Gionee Pioneer P6) and Gionee P4S (Gionee Pioneer P4S) but didn’t reveal much details on the smartphones.
The Gionee Pioneer P5L (Gionee P5L) supports 4G LTE connectivity, Dual SIM functionality and uses a Quadcore CPU. Specs features on the device includes – a 4.7-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with an ARM Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage (up to 128GB via microSD card). Others includes – 5MP camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The device makes use of a 1800mAh battery capacity.
The Gionee CTRL V6L on the other hand packs a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage(up to 128GB via microSD card). On the rear is a 8MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chat.
Connectivity options on the Gionee CTRL V6L includes – 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0 and packs a 1950mAh battery.
Like I mentioned earlier, the company also announced the Gionee Pioneer P4S (Gionee P4S) and Gionee Pioneer P6 (Gionee P6). The former is expected to feature a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display while the latter is expected to feature a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display.
