With the launch of the M6s Plus expected sooner rather than later (April 24), Gionee could be launching a new S series smartphone along. The device spotted under two different codenames - Gionee S10B and S10BL, has been certified in China by TENAA and expected to be the successor to last year’s Gionee S9.
According to TENAA, the Gionee S10B / S10BL sports a 5.5-inch LTPS display with curved glass, 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution and 401ppi pixel density. It measures 154.5 x 76 x 7.6 mm in dimensions, weighs 176.6 grams and backed by an ample-sized 3700mAh battery.
The cameras will be one of the highlight of the device as it has a front facing 16MP camera with Front camera flash and dual 13MP rear cameras with Dual Tone LED flash. Like the Gionee S9, it has a Hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano/microSD) fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button.
Under the hood, the Gionee S10B/S10BL boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Amigo OS and rely on an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot). There is no word on the official pricing, availability and launch date.
