Sony has announced the release of a new colour variant of its latest PS4 console – a first of the standard PS4’s new case. The Glacier White PS4 Slim will launch on the 24th of January in Europe and eventually arrive later in Japan on the 23rd of February. At the moment, there is no word yet on any potential launch date in North America or other regions.
The new sleek and slim looking Glacier White PS4 Slim has a 500GB hard drive (HDD) and arrives with a matching Glacier White DualShock 4 controller and PSVR headset to go along. It sells for the same price tag as the Jet Black Model €299, £259 (MSRP). A 1TB version will also be available in Japan and pricing for either model is yet to be communicated.
Sony launched the PS4 Slim as the answer to the Xbox One S and this Glacier White could be the answer to the Robot White One S. The slim has the hardware of the OG PS4 and runs the same library of games, however, the overall design has been revamped and performance has also been tweaked.
