Google announces event for September 29th, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P expected

Previously confirmed by high rank sources, Google/Alphabet has officially announced an event slated for September 29th. The invite to the event which reads ‘Join us for some tasty new treats and much s’more‘ will be happening in San Francisco on the aforementioned date by 9AM PT/12PM ET.

The search giant is expected to launch new Nexus phones – the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P; a newly designed Chromecast and officially debut Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to available leaks, benchmark and rumoured details, the LG Nexus 5X (LG Bullhead) sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, powered by an hexa-core qulcomm snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB RAM, 13MP main camera with Sony IMX278 sensor and a front facing 5MP camera. A 2700mAh battery is also tipped to power the device. 

Moving to the Huawei-made Nexus 6P (Huawei Angler), it sports a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, a front facing 8MP camera and 13MP rear facing camera. 

Both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have NFC, a fingerprint sensor on the back and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The event would also be streamed live on the company’s official channel so we will be looking out for that.
