Google has announced the Google Cast for Audio, the audio streaming service allows you Cast your favourite tune from your phone, tablet or Laptop to your speakers. The same technology behind Chromecast is employed on Google Cast for Audio which simply allows mobile devices to your Google Cast enabled speakers.
Google Cast for Audio is enabled to stream music or audio from apps likes Google Play mUsic, iHeartRadio, Deezer, Pandora, NPR One and more to Google Cast ready speakers, receivers and sound bars. It is accessible across Android smartphones and tablets; Apple iPhone, iPad, Mac; Windows and Chromebook.
Google Cast ready speakers come with the technology built-in; the first set of speakers would be available from LG, HEOS by Denon, Sony and others by spring in the US. More brands are expected to join in later this year and the company is also looking to extend the streaming functionality to Televisions, Game Consoles and Set-up boxes with Android TV.
