A tweet sent out by Google CEO, Sundar Pichai has confirmed this and the event will be moving away from San Francisco back to the neighbourhood where it all started 10 years ago – California. As is the norm, Google only gives those who register for the conference, a chance to buy the entry tickets.
Last year, Google sold the main ticket to the event for $900 and academic tickets sold for $300; and also registrations started by the middle of March (March 17th – March 19th). The company is yet to detail how much the tickets will cost this year or when registrations for it will commence.
Google’s I/O is one of the company’s most important event of the year (if not the most important); it is where the latest stuffs are announced and for the past two years, has marked the launch of the upcoming versions of Android. Last year, Android M which later became Android 6.0 Marshmallow previewed at the I/O.
We might be seeing the developer preview of Android N and since the venue is an outdoor one, there are talks of Google’s Self Driving Car also taking a center stage. Google is expected to give out more details about the Google I/O 2016 Event soon.
