Alongside the new 5G Pixel smartphones, Google also unveiled two new hardware products – Google Nest Audio and new Google Chromecast with Google TV. The former will be available online in the U.S., Canada, and India from October 5 and offline in retails stores in 21 countries from October 15. Meanwhile the later is now available in the U.S., and will be available for purchase starting October 15 in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and the U.K.
Priced starting at US$ 99.99, the Google Nest Audio is the company’s official replacement for the original Google Home. It packs a 19mm tweeter and 75mm mid-woofer to deliver up to 75% louder and up to 50% stronger bass when compared to the original home speaker. The new Google Assistant speaker also has features such as Media EQ, Ambient IQ, and Stream Transfer to complement the existing multi-room feature. Chalk, Charcoal, Sage, Sand and Sky are the available colour options.
Priced starting at US$ 49.99, the company’s new media-streaming stick now comes with Google TV alongside the well-known Chromecast features. Google TV takes over Android TV stops but remains committed to delivering customised entertainment from Google. Chromecast with Google TV slots into the HDMI port on TV to stream videos in 4K HDR at up to 60fps and has a dedicated Google Assistant button as well as buttons for YouTube and Netflix on the remote. Sky, Snow and Sunrise are the available colour options.
