Shortly after Google unveiled the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL last year, various leaks and rumours have been pointing to the release of lower-cost alternatives. The Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite, as they should be known, will be available on Verizon in early Spring 2019.
According to various sources, the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will have inferior performance when compared to the original Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.The duo will have a plastic body build, rear fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack and the same 18:9 aspect ratio on the display.
The Google Pixel 3 Lite will have a notched 5.5-inch screen while the Pixel 3 XL Lite will have a larger, notch-less 6-inch screen. Both models could be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or 710 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage.
The phones might share the same rear camera setup as the original Pixel 3 series. There is no word on pricing; however, they are tipped to be priced in the US$ 400 – 500 range.
