After three months of delay, Haier has launched the Haier HaierPhone L56 (Haier L56) in Europe. The 5-inch device which was announced at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona, has gone on sale in Italy for a price tag of EUR 179 in Grey or Gold colours.
The Haier HaierPhone L56 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection and is packed in a sturdy metal body which measures 7.3mm in thickness. The device is backed by a 2200mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 7 hours of talk time and 25 hours on standby.
Under the hood, it relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 64-bit processor with WorldMode 4G LTE (clocked at 1.3GHz) with ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card for expansion up to 32GB/64GB.
In the imaging segment, there is a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and Dual-tone LED flash; and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The HaierPhone L56 has Dual SIM and supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
