Popularly known for its consumer electronics products, Haier has been involved in the smartphones and tablets market in recent times. One of the recent smartphone from the company is the Haier i701 which was announced around July but is yet to hit the markets though the exact reason are unknown.
Packed in an all-metal body made from aircraft-grade aluminium which has undergone the hugely popular CNC process and easily gripped build, the Haier i701 sports a 5.5-inch LTPS OGS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) and protected by 2.5D Corning Glass.
The phablet is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera with 84-degrees wide angle lens for selfies and a rear facing 13-megapixels camera with Dual LED flash.
Measuring 153.6 x 76 x 8mm in dimensions and weighing 162 grams; the Haier i701 has Dual SIM support (with Dual standby), a fingerprint scanner below the main camera and boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It supports 4G LTE networks in both SIMs and is backed by a 2800mAh Li-polymer battery.
In terms of pricing, the Huawei i701 is priced at CNY 1599 (USD 250) but there is no word yet on availability.
