Chinese company, Haier has launched two new tablets – Haierpad 825 and Haierpad E102U, set to be launched in the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) markets in Europe for a price tag of EUR 99 and EUR 149 respectively, starting this May.
The Haierpad 825 is the cheaper of the duo; it sports a 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution and is backed by a 4200mAh battery which should serve a couple of hours of usage. On the inside, the slate packs a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The tablet with full metal body build, measures 9.2 mm at its thickest point and weighs in at 380 grams size. The rest of the specs include – a 2MP main camera, front 0.3MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Haierpad E102U shares some of the specs of the Haierpad 825 and comes with a couple of improvements to push the price up a bit. It sports a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with the same 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution and is backed by a slightly bigger 5000mAh battery. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM but internal storage has doubled to 16GB.
The 10.9mm Android 5.1 Lollipop OS running tablet also has the same camera and connectivity options but adds support for cellular connectivity via an external 3G connected dongle. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
