Popular Chinese company, Haier, more known for producing Air conditioner, electronics and appliances; has a new 10-inch tablet in the works. The Haier S100F has passed through the Chinese telecommunications equipment certification center (TENAA), meaning it could go official soon.
Running the now dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Haier S100F sports a 10.1-inch display with Full HD screen res, a square-shaped home button alongside physical menu buttons (could be capacitive) and has a weird body design language with most of the screws used visible on the rear.
On the inside sits an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage expandable space and a long lasting 9000mAh battery (non-removable). For photography, there is a front facing 2 MP camera and a rear facing 5 MP camera with LED flash.
Although the listing does not capture more than the key specs, a closer look at the Haier S100F reveals the presence of two rear cameras, both with individual LED flashs. How these cameras function, remains to be seen.
Only time will tell whether, the slate will function as a Project Tango family device or just another independent 3D capture based device.
