Xiaomi has announced a new pair of in-ear headphones to the company’s audio products. Dubbed the Xiaomi Hybrid Earphones, it combines a single dynamic and duo balanced-armature drivers for high-design flexibility and secure sound with ultra low distortion, accurate mid and crystal-clear high note.
Xiaomi’s audio products are handled by 1More, a startup which the company has invested in and was formed by ex-Foxconn executive who prefer to create affordable but quality audio products. The secret recipe behind the Xiaomi Hybrid Earphones is the Latin Grammy and Grammy awards winning audio engineer, Luca Bignardi.
According to the company, the in-ear headphones has undergone 20 careful procedures, has a kevlar body material (popular for its long term durability) and has a microphone with high Signal-to-Noise-Ratio of 58dB (A) which means better noise cancellation equivalent to better call quality.
The microphone on the earphone is close to the face and there is a remote on it for controlling. The Xiaomi Hybrid Earphones weighs 14 grams, the audio cable measures 1.25m in length; it is priced at CNY 99 (approx $15) in Metallic Silver colours and is available in three different ear-bud sizes – XS, S and L.
