WarnerMedia Entertainment’s upcoming streaming platform is called HBO Max. The AT&T owned company will bring original content from its massive entertainment brands and portfolio including Adult Swim, CNN, Cartoon Network, DC Entertainment, Looney Tunes, The CW, Warner Bros., and WarnerMedia Entertainment (HBO, Cinemax, TBS, TNT, TruTV) when its launches in the US starting the first quarter of 2022 (Q1 2022).
Set to premiere with premium content worth 10,000 hours, HBO Max will exclusively stream all 236 episodes of NBC’s classic sitcom – Friends as well as American teen drama mystery series – Pretty Little Liars and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It will also stream new dramas produced for The CW including a spinoff of Riverdale – Katy Keene and new DC series, Batwoman.

In addition to being the streaming home of all HBO programming, WarnerMedia Entertainment has also signed movie production deals with Greg Berlanti and Reese Witherspoon. This partnership will result in initially six movies – four by Berlanti and at least two by Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Some of the upcoming Max originals include – Dune: The Sisterhood, Tokyo Vice, Love Life, The Flight Attendant, Station Eleven, Made For Love and Gremlins.
So far, there is no official information about the pricing for HBO Max but its is expected to be within the range of what the company charges for HBO Now ($14.99). It is expected to rival newbies such as Disney Plus and Apple’s TV Plus (Apple TV+) as well existing services such as Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix.
