Once in a while, the ugly head of clone smartphones rears it’s head and such is the case of the HDC S6 Edge which is a blatant clone of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Like any clone device, the specs design are far inferior but the Dual Edge totting phone is copied from head to toe.
The HDC S6 Edge is a mid-ranger, it sports a 5.2-inch display with dual curved edges and rocks an entire plastic body build along with the frames. It is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The device has a 13MP main camera with LED flash, front facing 5MP camera for selfies and there is a fingerprint sensor onboard (suggestively in the home button). The device supports Standard connectivity options including 4G LTE and has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Backed by a 2600mAh battery and running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the HDC S6 Edge comes pre-installed with several Google services and apps including the Google Play Store. If this fits the criteria of your next phone, it’ll set you back around $239.99.
Asides the whole design, HDC also managed to copy Samsung’s TouchWiz UI but that is no accolade but it is what makes it what it is …. a Clone or Ripoff if you may like.
