Russia-based device maker, Highscreen has announced a new audio-centric 4G LTE smartphone – the Highscreen Thunder. The mid-range smartphone is equipped with a powerful speaker capable of churning out sound volume up to 100dbs and priced at RUB 10990 (US$ 170 or EUR 151).
Measuring 8.5 – 8.8mm thick, the Highscreen Thunder sports a 5.5-inch On-Cell screen with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, supports Russia 4G LTE networks (1/3/7/8/20) and is backed by a sizeable non-removable 3500mAh battery which should last up to a day (or more) depending on usage.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in expandable storage space and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP Fixed Focus camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options onboard the Dual Micro SIM enabled Highscreen Thunder include – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Hotspot and GLONASS / GPS.
Sensor options available are Proximity sensor, Light sensor and G-sensor.
