Hisense has taken off where YotaPhone stopped with the launch of the crowd-sourced Hisense A2 dual-screen smartphone. The device has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display on the front and a rear-placed 5.2-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD E Ink display. Both have a 2.5D glass on top.
On the inside, it boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with Adreno 505 GPU. It is availble in either 3GB RAM and 32GB storage sapce or 4GB RAM and 64GB RAM and Storage options.
The Hisense A2 has Dual SIM slots, rear 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, front 5MP f/2.4 camera with 84-degree wide angle lens, a microSD card slot (for expansion up to 128GB) and a fingerprint sensor in the home button. It also has an infrared blaster, which allows the device be used to used to control home devices such as the TV sets, Air Conditioners and set top box.

The A2 Dual Screen is backed by a 3090 mAh battery with 5V/2A power adapter for fast charging and supports 4G LTE networks with VoLTE. It is said to be compatible with China’s big three – China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom. Other connectivity options include – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG, USB 2.0 Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Hisense A2 also comes bundled with various reading resources including an iReader app which allows the user access more than 3 million online eBooks and every device comes with free 5000 credits.
