Out of China, Hisense has announced the Hisense Vidaa Mirror – a premium looking slim tablet has got the looks but due to its thinness skips on some features. It is already available from Jingdong Mall (JD.com) in China for CNY 1799 ($282). Shipping starts August 26th.
Moving to the specs, the Hisense Vidaa Mirror features a 7-inch IPS OGS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA) and the screen occupies up to 90% of the display due to the very thin frame used. The body build is all metal and the display has a pixels density of 431ppi.
Under the hood it is powered by a quad-core Rockchip RK3288 Cortex-A17 processor paired with Mali-T764 GPU, 2GB of RAM and internal storage stands at 16GB. The tablet is a Wi-Fi only tablet and unlike some tablets around, it cannot make voice calls due to the non presence of a SIM slot.
Asides Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, the tablet also has Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB v2.0 connectivity options. There is no microSD card for additional, no audio jack and no front or rear cameras in view.
The Hisense Vidaa Mirror measures 135.6 x 200.3 x 6.35mm in dimensions, weighs about 280 grams, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a built-in 4580mAh battery which should keep the light on for some hours.
