HMD Global refreshed its Nokia-branded budget smartphone range with three new additions – Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 at an event in Russia. All three come pre-loaded with Android Oreo OS and are positioned as the successor to last year’s Nokia 5, 3 and 2 smartphones.
Nokia 5.1 (Android One)
The Nokia 5.1 has the same body design as its predecessor but the screen is 0.3-inch bigger and the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear. It sports a 5.5-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio, rear 16MP camera with PDAF, front 8MP camera, 3,000mAh battery and powered by an unannounced Helio P18 SoC with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space.
Nokia 3.1 (Android One)
The Nokia 3.1 has a 5.2-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio, rear 13MP camera, front 8MP camera and a 2,990mAh battery. It is also available in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage options, and has Gyroscope but no fingerprint sensor.
Nokia 2.1 (Android Go Edition)
The Nokia 2.1 sports a 5.5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM, dual front-facing stereo speakers, rear facing 8MP camera and front 5MP camera. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and backed by a bigger 4,000mAh battery, which promises up to 2 days of battery life.

Pricing and Availability
- The Nokia 5.1 will arrive in Black, Copper and Tempered Blue colours, and will roll out globally starting from July 2018. Pricing starts at EUR 189.00.
- The Nokia 3.1 will arrive in Black/Chrome, Blue/Copper and White/Iron colours and will ship globally starting June 2018. Pricing starts at EUR 139 or $160.
- The Nokia 2.1 is the cheapest of the trio with a US$ 115 price tag and will be available starting July 2018. It will arrive in Blue/Copper, Blue/Silver and Grey/Silver colour options.
