HMD Global Oy, the finish company behind Nokia-branded mobile devices will be attending the MWC 2017 with three new Nokia-branded smartphones running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There are also rumours of a modern version of the most successful Nokia phone of all time – the Nokia 3310.
According to sources, the company will announce the Nokia 3 and 5 alongside the already existing Nokia 6 (currently selling only in China). The Nokia 6 packs a 5.5-inch FHD display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage, 16MP PDAF camera and 8MP snapper also with f/2.0 aperture.
The Nokia 5 is expected to have similar specs as the Nokia 6, albeit having a smaller 5.2-inch HD display, half of the RAM (2GB) and a 12MP main camera sensor. In terms of pricing the former will sell for EUR 249 while the latter will go EUR 50 lower at EUR 199.
On its part, the Nokia 3 will have entry-level specs and sell for around EUR 149. It is expected to have a 5.2 or 5.3-inch HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP/5MP front and rear cameras, 4G VoLTE and 16GB built-in expandable storage space.
HMD Global has announced plans for a launch event on February 26 at the MWC in Barcelona.
