On its first IFA appearance, HMD Global unveiled two new Android smartphones – the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2. Both models have the same 6.3-inch Full HD+ LCD display with PureView technology and support for HDR10, rear fingerprint sensor, 3,500mAh battery and come pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie (with promised upgrade to Android 10 before the end of year).
Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2
The Nokia 6.2 is equipped with 16MP + 8MP + 5MP triple rear cameras with LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform and comes in two configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage for EUR 199 and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage for EUR 249. Sales commences in October.
The Nokia 7.2 has the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and also comes in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for EUR 299 and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for EUR 349. It has the same triple rear camera setup as the 6.2, however, the primary camera has a 48MP sensor with Carl ZEISS optics. Also, the front waterdrop notch houses the 20MP selfie snapper.
Nokia 2720 Flip and Nokia 800 Tough
The company also unveiled the Nokia 2720 Flip phone with 4G connectivity and Nokia 800 Tough rugged smarter. The former has a 2.8-inch color display, numeric keypad and access to key Google apps, Facebook and WhatsApp, while the latter has 2.4-inch QVGA display, 2MP rear camera, microUSB port, 4GB built-in storage, microSD card slot, up to 43 days of standby time (GSM), IP68 rating, headphone jack and runs KaiOS.
The Nokia 2720 Flip will go on sale in September starting at EUR 89 while the Nokia 800 Tough will go on sale in October for EUR 190.
Nokia 110 and True Wireless Nokia Power Earbuds
The Nokia 110 build on the success of the Nokia 150 feature phone while the latest True Wireless Nokia Power Earbuds offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, IPX7-rating – up to 30 minutes at 1 metre depth and comes with a portable charging case. The former is available globally starting mid-September for USD 20 while the latter is available starting October for EUR 79.
