HMD Global announce Nokia Active Wired and Wireless Earphones

‎HMD Global has listed up new Nokia-branded accessories – the ‎Nokia Active Wired (WH501) and Nokia Active Wireless (501) Earphones for its upcoming Android smartphones. The duo are designed for workout (HMD says the athletic lifestyle) but are usable indoors and come in Black colour variant only.

‎Nokia Active Wired Earphones (WH501)

Featuring a highly reflective cable with a bit of metal finish, the Nokia Active Wired Earphones connects to the device via the 3.5mm audio jack. It is lightweight (19 grams), comes with both interchangeable earplugs and ear tips in three sizes (S, M, L) and high-performance speakers for the best of clarity.

The Active Wired has a control to regulate music and renders quality sound output. It is both splash and sweat resistant, and has passive noise cancelling.

Nokia Active Wireless Earphones (501)

The Nokia Active Wireless connects to the smartphone (or two smartphones) via Bluetooth and has a remote call and music control button. It weighs 15.6 grams and have other features such as passive noise cancelling, USB Cable for charing (USB-A to micro-USB), dust, sweat and water resistance.

The Active Wireless has up to 8 hours of talk time or music time and up to 144 hours of standby time on a single charge. It takes about 1.5 hours to charge fully. It also has interchangeable earplugs and ear tips in different sizes, like the Active Wired.

Pricing and Availability

For now, there is no official word on pricing and availability but there are chances that the Nokia Active Wired and Nokia Active Wireless Earphones will arrive at same time as the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 Android smartphones.
