HOMTOM is associated with the Doogee brand, the outfit has officially announced the HOMTOM HT6 and HOMTOM HT5. The company describes ‘itself is is the first Smartphone brand from China with a full range of long lasting batteries and will solve this big problem’.
Both smartphones come with a mammoth battery capacity – 6250mAh battery on the HT6 while the HT5 has a 4250mAh battery. Much of the focus is on the HOMTOM HT6; it can last up to 3 days of heavy usage, 7 days of light usage and about 3 days of talk time. With the Mediatek Pump Express, the device charges up to 70% in 30 mins.
Pre-orders starts September 24th but the smartphone will be released in October for a price tag yet to be known.
HOMTOM HT5
The HOMTOM HT5 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space out of which 12GB is user available.
The main camera is a 8MP SONY IMX219 camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and the front facing camera is a 5MP snapper with OV sensor for selfies. The rear camera can be interpolated to take photos of 13MP quality and the front camera can be interpolated up to 8MP.
The HOMTOM HT5 is backed by a 4250mAh battery, supports Dual SIM (Standard + Micro) functionality, supports 4G LTE (FDD-LTE Band 1/3/7/20) connectivity, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
HOMTOM HT6
Back in July, Doogee announced the HOMTOM HT6 – the device sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and is backed by a 6250mAh battery. The device share the rest of the specs as the HT5 above.
