Huawei’s lower-cost Honor brand has announced the debut of the Honor 10 smartphone. The flagship builds on the Honor View 10 and closely takes after the Huawei P20 in a number of aspects including the notched 5.84-inch Full HD+ LCD 2.5D curved glass display with 19:9 aspect ratio, Android 8.1 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.1 on top and 3400mAh battery with support for Super fast charge (5V/4.5A).
On the inside, the Honor 10 is based on the Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor with i7 co-processor (same as the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, View 10 & P20 Pro) and packs 6GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB built-in storage. The main camera setup comprises of 16MP (RGB) + 24MP (Mono) sensors with 2x Zoom, LED flash and AI scene recognition.
The front facing 24MP f/2.0 camera handles selfies, 1080p video recording and supports face unlock. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, NFC, IR sensor, AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip and supports Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.
The Honor 10 is available for pre-order until April 26th and goes on sale in China from April 27th. Pricing starts at CNY 2,599 (US$ 414) for the 64GB storage model and CNY 2,999 (US$ 478) for the 128GB model. Black, Blue and Purple are the available colour options.
