Huawei’s Honor brand has unveiled the Honor 10 Lite – to slot in ahead or in between the Honor 10 and Honor 10 GT. It is now available for pre-order and scheduled to go on sale in China from tomorrow (November 22) in Gradient Blue, Gradient Red, Lily White and Midnight Black colours.
The Honor 10 Lite (aka. Honor 10 Youth Edition) is built around a 6.21-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with waterdrop notch, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and over 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has a rear fingerprint scanner, measures 154.8 x 73.64 x 7.95 mm, weighs 162 grams and power is supplied by a 3,400mAh battery which charges via a micro USB port.
The device has some of the internals found on the Honor 8X. It boots EMUI 9.0 (based on Android 9.0 Pie) and relies on the same Kirin 710 12nm SoC with support for GPU Turbo 2.0, paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB or 512GB via microSD).
For photography, there is a 13MP (f/1.8) primary rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary camera for depth sensing and a front facing 24MP (f/2.0) AI camera. The front and rear cameras have features such as AI Scene Recognition, Portrait Mode and AIS Super Night shooting mode.
Pricing starts at CNY 1,399 (US$ 202) for the Honor 10 Lite 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant; CNY 1,699 (US$ 246) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and CNY 1,899 (US$ 275) for the top-end 6GB RAM + 12GB storage variant.
