Barely two weeks after the Honor Play 7 (Huawei Y5 Prime 2018) made its debut in China, Huawei’s popular sub-brand – Honor has introduced yet another smartphone with a 18:9 FullView display and Android 8,1 (Oreo) in China. The Honor 7S will presumably go on sale in European and other Asian markets starting with Pakistan for a price tag of PKR 14,499 (USD 125).
The Honor 7S appears to be the international version of the Honor Play 7. It sports the same 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass, 18:9 aspect ratio and 73% screen to body ratio, single rear facing 13MP camera with PDAF and front facing 5MP camera with LED selfie-light.
Internally, the device boots Android 8.1 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.1 on top and packs a quad-core Mediatek MT6739 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via micro SD). It is backed by a 3,020mAh battery (built-in) with Honor’s Smart Battery Management 6.0.
The Honor 7S supports 4G VoLTE and has a larger receiver volume for better and clearer listening in noisy environments.
