Under its Honor sub-brand, Huawei unveiled the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro smartphones at an event in China. Both devices have the same 6.6-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ IPS LCD display with minimal bezels, HiSIlicon Kirin 810 octa-core SoC onboard as the Huawei Nova 5, Game Turbo 3.0 and 16MP (f/2.2) pop-up selfie camera like the Huawei P Smart Z and OnePlus 7 Pro.
The Honor 9X arrives with up to 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage while the Honor 9X Pro packs up to 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB built-in storage. For photography, both models are equipped with a primary 48MP (f/1.8) camera paired with 2MP depth camera and an extra 8MP ultrawide camera on the Pro.
Other specs include Bluetooth 5.0, microSD card slot (up to 512GB), 4,000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack and EMUI 9.1.1 with Android Pie. In terms of pricing, the 9X’s 4GB + 64GB model starts at CNY 1,400; the 6GB + 64GB for CNY 1,600 and the 6GB + 128GB for CNY 1,900. The 9X Pro is available starting at CNY 2,200 for the 8GB + 128GB model and CNY 2,400 for the 8GB + 256GB model.
