During the launch of the Honor Magic 2, WaterPlay 8 and Honor Watch Magic, the Chinese company also unveiled its take on the Apple’s AirPods – the Honor FlyPods and Honor FlyPods Pro. The wireless earbuds have same looks as the AirPods and charging case.
The Honor FlyPods does the basics like media playback control, call answering and also activates Honor’s YoYo voice assistant. It connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and feature touch controls for each, USB-C port on the case for charging and the case itself for wireless charging.
The earbuds also have IP54 waterproof rating and a built-in feature that allows one missing earbud to automatically pair with another. The 420mAh battery on-board provides up to three hours of usage and the charging case extends the battery life by up to 20 hours.
The FlyPods Pro has an additional feature called BoneID technology which combines voice recognition and bone sound pattern recognition for unlocking the phone and making online payments by voice.
The Honor FlyPods is priced at CNY 799 and will arrive in Blue and White colours while the Honor FlyPods Pro costs CNY 999 and arrives in Red and White colours. Both models will go on sale starting November 6.
