Official images and supposed press renders of the smartwatch has surfaced online showing all that is to be seen about the device. The images were posted on Tumblr by Pei-Chi Hsieh, a Microsoft employee; however the post has since been taken down.

Apparently, the Nokia Moonraker was showed off at the 2014 edition of the Mobile World Congress and was expected to go official alongside the Lumia 930 smartphone before it was given a last minute funeral.

The smartwatch has almost the square face as the Apple Watch, it used the Metro-like UI of Windows Phone devices, the watch face is customisable and the options to swap different coloured straps. It also had MixRadio and Facebook integration as well as sensor which can determine of your hands are raised up for usage or are down beside you. The Moonraker also had a camera remote feature which let’s you take pictures with the smartwatch.

Microsoft is reportedly working on the successor to the Microsoft Band – the Microsoft Band 2. While the device would retain much of its Software features, it is expected to come with a more fashion related design. The Band 2 is expected to go official after the global launch of the Windows 10 OS.

No doubt, Nokia used to be one of the pioneers in the smartphone industry till the late 90’s before the company fell behind Android and iOS smartphone users with its Windows Phone smartphones.
