With Microsoft releasing a developer preview of the Windows Phone 8.1 and it was available to non-developers also, many users jumped ship to the new operating system as expected. Few hours after the developers preview of the Windows Phone 8.1 was released the Microsoft’s App Studio crashed.
The official release of the Windows 8.1 isn’t expected till summer 2014, users would have noticed that the developer’s version comes with a lot of issues as they are not optimised with manufacturer settings. Issues ranging from large amount of bugs, over heating, and quick battery life deterioration were discovered, but that’s what you get from a crude (unrefined) software.
How To Downgrade Your Windows Phone From Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.0
If you are of those who have jumped ship to the newly introduced Windows Phone 8.1, you can still switch back to the reliable Windows Phone 8. Alin Gheaja on Youtube has uploaded a video showing how to reflash the Windows Phone 8.1 back to the Windows 8.0. This process will virtually wipe off everything on the phone and it is advised to back-up data before embarking on it.
The following steps below are recommended.
• Back up your data and files.
• Download the Nokia Software Updater Directly Here
• Connect your phone with the screen unlocked and the Nokia Software updater running.
• The app will respond with there is an update available.
• Follow the prompts to install the new firmware.
