HP Elite x3 Windows 10 Flagship smartphone For Business debuts with Continuum Support

The HP Elite x3 Windows 10 Flagship smartphone is one ‎of the very few high-end smartphones running Microsoft’s OS in the market that is not made by the company itself. The phablet sized device is targeted at business users with more of the focus on the functions than the body design.

The HP Elite x3 has total support for Window’s 10 continuum feature which allows the mobile device be used in PC form. HP has seen to this with a Desk Dock that connects to an external display viaa the display port and a 12.5-inch HD screen laptop cover called HP Mobile Extender which allows the user dock the device, makingit usable laptop mode.

Peripherals such as Mouse and Keyboard can be attached to both accessories to further simplify user experience. One of the tools onboard is the HP Workspace, an app that creates a virtual PC for accessing virtualised apps. To ensure a secures environment, there are various encryption standards which the device correspond to.

Running Windows 10 Mobile, the Plastic body HP Elite x3 features a 5.96-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage space and a Hybrid Dual SIM slots which means the user can either use the two SIM slots or one of SIM slots along with the other as a microSD card slot (up to 2TB).‎

Others include – 16MP rear facing camera, front facing 8MP camera, IP67 certification, Iris scanner (compatible with Windows Hello), fingerprint sensor, front-facing dual stereo speakers by Bang & Olufsen and 4G LTE connectivity. The Elite x3 connects to the Desk Dock and charges via the USB Type-C port and also support Wireless charging.

The HP Elite x3 measures 161.8 x 83.5 x 7.8 mm in dimensions, weighs 195 grams and is backed by HP has a 4150mAh battery with support for fast charging. Connectivity options includes – 2 x 2 Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE Cat.6, NFC and GPS.‎
