In as much as I like HP products, I try to always be firm in my reviewing or announcing their products but anybody can agree with me that the newly announced HP Envy X2 looks like a perfect alternative to the Microsoft Surface 3. Though the Microsoft Surface 3 is more beautiful, thinner, lighter and beautiful the HP Envy X 2 has what it takes to rival the Surface 3.
The HP Envy X2 debuts in two screen size version – the 13-inch version and the 15-inch version. The hybrid pc packs a stylus, multi-angle kickstand and fabric keyboard cover. The 13-inch model would be available in 1366 x 768 pixels or 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution while the 15-inch version would be available in 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display option alone.
Both models runs on latest Intel Core M series of processor, boots Windows 8.1 out of the box, microSD card slot, up to 8GB of RAM and Beats stereo speakers. The 15-inch HP Envy X2 comes with 500GB HDD storage while the 13-inch model uses the SSD storage (up to 512GB).
The 15-inch HP Envy X2 is available for a starting price of $749.99; the 13-inch model starts at $799.99 while the fully 13-inch HP Envy X2 loaded model is available for $1429.99.
