Two new HP tablets has finally been listed on the company’s website after several rumours has surfaced online. The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra and Slate 8 Plus.
HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra
The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra features a 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) LTPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon processor with Mali 450 GPU, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The tablet also sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options includes – Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n); Bluetooth; GPS, USB OTG and 3G. The Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra supports voice calling, runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean and powered by a 5000mAh battery. The listing however did not include Dual-SIM functionality.
HP Slate 8 Plus
Like the Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra, the Slate 8 Plus also runs on the now-dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with Emotion UI on top. The tablet features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon processor with Mali 450 GPU, with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card slot.
Other features of the Slate 8 Plus includes – Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Dual-Band WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, 5MP rear camera, 1MP front facing. The tablet is said to come with sim support, it is however not know if it supports voice calling.
Pricing and Availability
The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra is currently available for pre-order in Singapore at SGD 499 (around N65,000 in Naira) and the HP Slate 8 Plus is listed on the Hp’s french website at a price tag of €299 (around N66,000 in Naira). There is however no word on shipping details of both the Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra and Slate 8 Plus.
