The HP Sprout Pro is the pro version of the all-in-one Sprout PC which is now targeted at corporate, educational and enterprise customers (the original model focused on home users). It comes with Windows 10 Pro, 6th gen Intel Core i7 processor, supercharged graphics and enhanced security.
The HP Sprout Pro combines the functions of the original Sprout PC but with improved hardware and some software enhancements. The device which aims to combine both the real and digital world, keeps the touch sensitive mat in front of the PC and the stretched-out arm above the monitor.
The HP Touch mat which also serves as the second monitor as well as keyboard and mouse, features 20-point touch-enabled feedback with an ultra-resistant top coating. It can also serves as the canvas which objects can be scanned via the 3D camera in the arm. Talking about the arm, it houses the projector which display images on the mat.
The HP Sprout Pro will be available in February 2016, starting at $2199. It packs a 23-inch full-HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) with support for 10-point touch, 6th-gen Intel Core i7 processor (Skylake), Nvidia GeForce GT 945A graphics card, 1TB of storage and 8GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 16GB).
Others include – 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4 slot, Ethernet port, HP 3-in-1 Media Card Reader, HD 1MP Webcam, DTS Sound, Adonit Jot Pro stylus and HP illuminator (HP DLP Projector – the HP High-Resolution Camera with up to 14.6 megapixel resolution, Intel RealSense 3D Camera, LED desk lamp).
