HTC has finally officially announced the HTC Desire 626; the device has it’s specs already detailed and it just got certified on TENAA. The midrange smartphone was announced in the company’s home country Taiwan for around $190 (NT$5990).
The HTC Desire 626 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a 64-bit Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot available for memory expansion (up to 128GB).
On the rear is a 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and BSI Sensor; there is a front facing 5MP camera on-board for selfies. Both camera can record 1080p videos. Connectivity options on the device includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n with DLNA, GPS and support for LTE connectivity.
The HTC Desire 626 runs on Android Kitkat OS with Sense UI ontop and is backed by a 2000mAh non-removable battery. The battery is expected to provide 760hours of standby time and 30hours of 3G talktime. The device also supports Dot Case view, measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.19mm and weighs 140 grams.
The company is rumoured to announce an octa-core MediaTek version of the smartphone which would debut in China. Dark Blue and White are the available colour options. There is no word on the availability of the Desire 626 outside of the home country.
