HTC is ready to launch another smartphone in the Desire range and this time around we are dealing with a Desire 7xx series – the HTC Desire 728.
A new smartphone with the codename – HTC D728w has been certified on TENAA for China and it is no different from most of the Desire smartphones already announced in terms of specs.
The HTC D728w is believed to be the HTC Desire 728 and is looking likely as the Chinese variant or an exclusive device for the country. The device is also rumoured to have two chipset versions – one with MediaTek which this model is and another with Qualcomm.
Moving to the key specs, the device features a 5.5-inch display with a pixel density of 267ppi and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz (MediaTek SoC) paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of expandable internal storage.
On the rear, the HTC D728w has a 13MP camera and the front camera is a 5MP snapper. It measures around 7.87mm in dimensions which is pretty slim compared to other HTC devices, weighs around 150 grams, runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, comes with Dual SIM slots and supports 4G LTE connectivity. It is expected to be backed by a 2800mAh battery.
