HTC has launched the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM smartphone in India; the phablet sized device is a variant of the Desire 728 Dual SIM smartphone with 3G connectivity (either dual GSM SIMS or GSM + CDMA). It is available in Purple Myst and White Luxury colour options for a price tag of Rs. 17990 ($271).
With the same polycarbonate plastic body build, the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display, measures 157.9 x 77.8 x 7.87mm in dimensions, weighs 153 grams and the Duo front facing HTC Boomsound stereo speakers with Dolby Audio.
Under the hood sits an octa-core 64-bit Mediatek MT6753 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage space. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB cards.
In the camera segment, the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM has a rear facing 13MP main camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 27mm lens; a 5MP front facing camera with f/2.8 aperture & 33.7mm lens for selfies. Both cameras have BSI sensor and records 1080p videos.
Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with a-GPS. It accommodates Dual Nano SIMS and run Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense UI ontop.
