HTC has announced its latest midrange smartphone running on a 64-bit Qualcomm snapdragon soc and supports 4G LTE cat 4 connectivity in the desire series. The Desire 820 succeeds the Desire 816 smartphone. The HTC Desire 820 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with HTC sense UI on top and also supports Dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) functionality.

Moving on to the specs, the HTC Desire 820 features a 5.5-Inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display, powered by a a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core), Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB via microSd card).
On the rear is a 13MP camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the device includes – 3.5mm Audio Jack, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, DLNA, 3G, 4G LTE, Dual Band Wi-Fi, micro USB, Bluetooth and FM Radio.
The HTC Desire 820 measures 157.7 x 78.74 x 7.74mm, weighs 155 grams and packs a 2600mAh battery. The battery is tipped to deliver 22.4 hours of talktime and 424 hours of standby on 3G network.
