The HTC Desire 830 smartphone has gone official in Taiwan. Housed in a plastic body, the successor to the HTC Desire 820 slots into the mid-range offering and comes with the signature HTC BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio on the top and bottom. It will go on sale for a price tag of $310 (NT $9,990) in Taiwan on May 6 from HTC, HTC Online store, Taiwan Mobile and more.
Available in Vanilla Blue and Vanilla Orange colour options, the HTC Desire 830 sport a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
On the photography front, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with OIS, f/2.0 aperture and a front facing 4MP UltraPixel camera for selfies. The device measures 157.5 x 78.9 x 7.79 mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2800mAh battery.
The company also touched on the already announced HTC Desire 825 which went official in February. It is on sale starting today (May 3rd) for a price tag of $248 (NT $7,990 million) in Gray and White colour options. The Desire 825 has an artistic canvas back cover, HTC Sensor Hub and HTC Bomsound with Dolby Audio. It sports a 5.5-inch HD Display, runs Android Marshmallow OS, supports 4G LTE connectivity and backed by a 2700mAh battery.
