Phones Rumours

HTC M8 Eye Android Smartphone With 13MP Duo Camera Set for Launch in October

HTC is set to launch another variant of the flagship HTC One M8 codenamed the HTC Eye. One of the major selling point of the One M8 is its Ultrapixel camera and this has so far not attracted customers the way the company would have liked.

The HTC M8 Eye is nothing more than the HTC One M8 but with a 13MP rear Duo camera replacing the 4UP duo camera at the rear. But the phone would retain the front facing 5MP camera, moving it to the selfie focus camera category.

The handset would run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS with HTC’s Sense 6.0 UI ontop. Previous details suggest the HTC M8 Eye would feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display which is actually bigger than the One M8’s 5-inch display. Other specs includes – a 5.2-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Soc clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal Storage and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.

The HTC M8 is said to feature standard connectivity suite including 4G LTE and a 2600mAh battery powers the device. HTC has announced an event for October 6, dubbed ‘HTC Presents Double Exposure’ and we would bring live all the announcement from the event.
