Around two months ago, Android Police spilled the beans about an upcoming 8.9-inch Google Nexus 8 device from HTC. The HTC-made Nexus 8 tablet was previously codenamed Volantis or Flounder however new details surfacing calls it the HTC T1 and is expected to be the first 64-bit Nvidia Tegra chip, 4GB of RAM and run on Android L.

According to Upleaks, the HTC T1 (Volantis/Flounder) would feature a 8.9-inch 2560×1600 pixel display, 64-bit Tegra processor, 4GB of RAM and. Android L out-of-the-box. The 3G Model would sport a MDM9x25 modem (Qualcomm-made LTE modem).
Other features include – a 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.6MP front facing camera, GPS as well as NFC connectivity.
The Nexus 8 is expected to arrive this fall alongside the release of the Android L. With the IFA 2014 looming upon us, who knows what Google has in stock?
