The Chinese market is definitely showing much love to the latest addition to the HTC One family, the HTC One E8 aka Vogue Edition. HTC has announced via Weibo that the company has sold 50,000 units of the HTC One E8. The handset was introduced at the starting of this month in China, and there is still no word of when the device would be available outside China.
HTC said on Weibo, “# One public attention # 50,000 units, 15 minutes. HTC proud of each figure, by our common creation.
The appeal of the One E8 is very simple, offering a plastic version of the metallic flagship One M8 with the exception of the UltraPixel-packed Duo Camera. Other features and specs of the device are high-end as expected and it is expected to compete aggressively with the Samsung Galaxy S5 which has a similar plastic body but it is more expensive.
The One E8 which would be available in Dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) in some regions features a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, powered by a a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8975AC) processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP Auto-focus rear camera with LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera, 16GB expandable storage, 4G LTE support, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and powered by a 2600mAh battery.
The HTC One E8 costs around 2,799 Yuan ($450/€330/£267) that currently amounts to ₦73,000 to ₦75,000 in Naira and would be available in Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, and Misty Gray colour variants.
