HTC One Mini 2 Goes Official with 13MP Camera, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4 Kitkat; Specs and Price

HTC at an event in London earlier today announced the HTC One Mini 2 successor to the HTC One Mini and compact variant of the HTC One M8.

The HTC One Mini 2 features 4.5-inch 720p HD display with 326ppi, runs on Android 4.4.2 kitkat with sense 6.0UI on top. The HTC One Mini 2 measures 137.4 mm x 65 mm x 10.6 mm, weighs 137 g, powered by Snapdragon 400 chipset featuring 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU with Adreno 305 GPU, 16GB of inbuilt memory expandable up to 128GB with micro SD card support and stereo boom speakers.

The One Mini 2 comes with a more conventional 13MP with f/2.2 aperture & BSI sensor at the rear and 5MP front facing camera; a departure from HTC’s ultrapixel camera technology. Both the front and rear camera can shoot 1080p videos just like the HTC One Mini and the HTC One M8.

The HTC One Mini 2 offers LTE connectivity, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 (atpX enabled), GPS/GLONASS, NFC and micro USB 2.0. The One mini 2 packs a 2100mAh battery which offers 556hours of standby time and 16.2hours of 3G talk-time.

HTC One Mini 2 Release Date and price
The HTC One Mini 2 would be available in three colour variants – Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver & Amber Gold. There is no word on pricing but the device is expected to be available in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and North Asia in June.
