HTC has joined the reigning ‘bezel-less’ display trend with the launch of the HTC U11+, as expected. It supports both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, skips the traditional 3.5mm audio jack and has similar HTC U11 features such as the HTC Boomsound and sensor-based Edge Sense technology.
The HTC U11+ sports a 6-inch (2860 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 display with 18.9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, fingerprint sensor and a 3,930mAh built-in battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It is IP68-Certified for dust and water resistance and dons the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port.
On the inside, the U11+ boots Android 8.0 Oreo OS with HTC Sense UI and relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with either 4GB RAM with 64GB storage or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage space. Both storage options are expandable up to 2TB via microSD.
The smartphone is equipped with a single rear 12MP UltraPixel 3 camera with UltraSpeed AutoFocus, f/1.7 aperture, OIS + EIS, HDR Boost, 1.4μm pixels, PDAF, 4K video recording and dual LED flash. The front camera is a 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture, BSI Sensor, 85-degree field of view, HDR Boost and 1080p video recording.
The HTC U11+ also comes equipped with HTC USonic Earbuds with advanced Noise Cancellation, HTC Sense Companion and HTC BoomSound. It will be available in Asia, Europe and the rest of the world (excluding North America) in Amazing Silver, Ceramic Black and Translucent Black colour options.
