Just like Xiaomi’s Mi A1 Android One smartphone (based on Mi 5X), HTC’s erstwhile leaked smartphone, HTC U11 Life is billed to get the Android One treatment. The mid-tier device, which surfaced back in July under the codename – HTC Ocean Life, is expected to go official alongside the standard model soon.
According to popular tipster, LlabTooFeR (@LlabTooFeR), the HTC U11 Life Android One will run stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo while the standard model will have HTC Sense 9.0 skin on top. It will also ditch most of the pre-loaded apps on HTC but will retain the Edge Sense interaction feature, USonic audio customisation, HTC camera and Zoe.
The phone is expected to sport a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, fingerprint sensor, rear facing 16MP camera with LED Flash and front 16MP Selfie camera. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 64-bit processor instead of the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 660 SoC on the normal U11 Life.
The HTC U11 Life Android One will have an IP67-certified body (water and dust resistance) and arrive in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB RAM and storage options. A 2,600mAh battery is under the hood to supply power.
